It’s about that time…SCAB!

If you didn’t remove the infected leaves from around your crabapples, hawthorn, or pears last fall, you may be in for another round of Apple Scab or just Scab. Release of spores from fallen leaves usually occur about bud break in the spring and continues into the flowering stages. Foliar applications or basal bark sprays of Phospho-jet made at bud swell or silver tip stage and continued every 7 days until the end of bloom period can protect your trees from Apple SCAB. Propizol can be applied every 21 days in the same manner and timing as the Phospho-jet. You may also apply Propizol by trunk injection. Always remember to refer to the label for all directions…It’s The Law!
